A creation of the Lich King himself. The Lich's more sane and stable self made this soon after becoming a Lich. He did so with the express purpose of suppressing the Knowledge of Lichdom. This book is a black book adorned with a skull at the front of its cover with glowing eyes and mouth. This book has remained in the walls of Uzleving for hundreds of years, drawing the knowledge of Lichdom into its foul pages. As a side effect, the Lich King created a true book of devouring, and any books "fed" to it can later be located in its pages. It is readily apparent that the knowledge and subsequent pages in this codex are more than its binding can possibly contain, and yet one may keep turning the pages until all the Knowledge within has been read.

Black Devourer (Greater Gift)
As an Action, Commit effort from the artifact and name a particular topic of knowledge. Your chosen topic of knowledge over time will begin to be absorbed from the realm that the book resides in. This absorption takes a full month to take effect, and after the month is over, all knowledge about the chosen topic in the realm is suppressed. Knowledge about the chosen topic is much harder to find, with texts about the topic going missing or having its words changed. Research into the chosen topic becomes delayed or inexplicably fails. If the Artifact is ever taken outside of the realm this gift was used in, the chosen topic will stop being absorbed.

Akashic Codex (Lesser Gift)
As an Action, Commit effort from the artifact for the day while holding another book in-front of The Black Codex. The skull on the front of book will open and dissolve the book, turning it to ash and absorbing its knowledge. The Artifact now contains the knowledge of the devoured book and can be read at the users choosing.
